Distribution Technical Committee (CT-R)

Vice-Chair
Mr. Gustavo Gonzalez, ABRAMUS (Brazil)
The Distribution Committee, as its name suggests, is devoted to issues related to the distribution of royalties collected by CISAC’s member societies. It is composed of distribution experts from CISAC members.
One of the main achievements of this Committee is the database on different CISAC members distribution methods, originally developed by SACEM. CISAC has recently been entrusted with the implementation and management of this database. The database, which has been operational since mid-2003, contains information regarding musical societies’ distribution rules and methods, covering such categories as live music, radio, TV, cinema, recorded music and private copying. With the music categories successfully in place, the CT-R will now turn its attention to focus on including the other CISAC repertoires.
The Committee is also striving to define the common distribution formats and to work out distribution rules for online revenues.
