The CT-RTV deals with the relationships between authors’ societies and radio and television broadcasters. It is composed of broadcasting experts from CISAC member societies.
It studies the conditions and terms of licensing agreements and the collection of royalties from broadcasters. It also deals with webcasting (web radio, webTV, multichannel radios, portals, mobile phones, streaming).
At its most recent meetings, the CT-RTV has taken a keen interest in new revenue streams from emerging services (video on demand, digital terrestrial television and high-definition TV, digital radio, mobile telephone services, etc.) as well as issues relating to the application of the country of destination’s tariff and the impact of must-carry rules on licensing.
