CISAC Canada/USA Committee

The CISAC Canada-USA Committee meets periodically to identify issues and discuss similar concerns related to legal matters, legislative initiatives and technological developments that affect intellectual property rights in the region. For instance, it:

- promotes education and awareness-raising on copyright
- reviews, studies and discusses legislation protecting copyrights in Canada, the USA and elsewhere
- assures proper administration of the reportoires of its members
- supports American and Canadian copyrights abroad

The Committe is composed of Canadian and American member societies and may admit other copyright organisations from the region. It is headed by a Chair, who is responsible for intitiating and coordinating the work of the Committee.
