CIS Supervisory Board

CISAC’s Common Information System (CIS) is spearheaded by CISAC’s Director General and staff and by a key decision-making body, the CIS Supervisory Board (CSB). The composition of the CSB is limited to a maximum of 20 member organisations designated by the Board of Directors in order to mirror the composition of the Board, including adequate representation from the different regions and repertoires.

Presided over by the Board of Directors, the CSB has the power to establish rules for the use of CIS subsystems and CIS standards, as well as for future tools. The CSB can also require any CISAC member with a reciprocal representation agreement with another society to enter data for the works that are the subject of that agreement into the relevant CIS subsystem using CIS standards.
